Summary

The MHS Foundation is a non-profit educational and/or charitable corporation created in 1996 to foster and enhance academic opportunities for MHS students through grants and contributions to the school, any separate and distinct educational department or division thereof, or any student of the school.  The Foundation receives, manages, and administers contributions of money, securities or anything of value for scientific, educational, and charitable purposes.  The Foundation manages designated funds according to the wishes of the donor and guidelines monitored by the governing board.  Gifts received by the Foundation are used to supplement, but not replace, support from Monongalia County Board of Education.  The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides the donor the opportunity for a tax-deductible gift, to the extent allowable, that will benefit both the giver and the MHS community.
