Parent School Climate Survey

Help us

Dear Parent/Guardian/Caregiver,

The WV Board of Education requires all schools to engage in continuous school improvement. In doing so, schools should engage in a data-driven school climate planning process, identify its needs, and work to increase school safety and create a positive learning environment.

To support that process, schools will be doing surveys to gather information about the learning and teaching environment, the health and well-being of students, and supports for parents, school staff, and students that foster learning and success. This letter gives instructions to access a survey that measures parents’ opinions about the schools their children attend.

Knowing how you feel about your child’s school is an extremely important part of improving schools, so we are inviting you to fill out a parent survey. The survey is completely voluntary. Although we value your opinion and hope you will participate, you may choose not to, or to not answer any question on the survey you do not want to answer. Also, you are not asked to provide your name or any other identifying information.

Printable versions of all survey questionnaires are available at http://wvde.state.wv.us/healthyschools/wvscs if you would prefer to preview the questions before choosing to participate. You can also access the student survey at this web address. Students will take the student version of this survey during Extended Advisory on November 7, 2018.

If you do not have access to the Internet, but would like to participate, you can fill out the survey during Parent/Teacher Conferences in the MHS Library Computer Lab on November 8 from 3 to 6 pm.

Please see how to login and participate in the parent survey below:
