The 2026 yearbook is now available for pickup! Class of 2026: if you purchased a book, you can pick it up in the office during school hours.

Current MHS students: books were delivered in Homeroom on Friday, Aug. 28. Check with your homeroom teacher if you did not receive your book.

If you would like to order a book, email tplachta@k12.wv.us. The book will be added to your GiveBacks Account. Once payment is made, you can pick up your book in 002.

We have a few left, but they are going quickly!!

On Thursday, MHS came together during our Homecoming Pep Rally to get hyped up for the Homecoming Football Game.

MHS Community, To allow crews to complete the installation of the new MHS kitchen serving area, breakfast and lunch will be offered as single grab-and-go options on Tuesday, October 13. We’re excited to see our new kitchen serving area come together and look forward to welcoming students and staff to an improved dining experience.

A new piece of Mohigan history came to life on the cafeteria wall at Morgantown High School with the unveiling of a mural designed by Class of 2026 graduate Alisha Bhatoya. What began as a project in Mr. Brunett’s Graphic Design class grew into something much bigger: a permanent work of art at MHS and the cover design for the 2026 yearbook. Now pursuing their passion for art at West Virginia University, Bhatoya has left behind a piece of their creativity for future Mohigans to see. Alisha’s work is yet another example of Mohigan Excellence on display.

Please join us on September 19th for the 60th Morgantown High School Band Spectacular at Mountaineer Field, Milan Puskar Stadium.

Gates open at 9:15 and tickets are $10 for Adult, $5 for kids, and MHS students get in free with their student ID as well as Veterans.

We're excited to share that 14 students at your school earned the AP Capstone Diploma™ based on the scores released from the 2026 AP® Exam administration. Approximately 34,100 students at participating AP Capstone™ schools around the world earned this distinction. We are extremely proud of the 14 Morgantown High School students who earned this prestigious honor. Your commitment to your education is truly #MohiganExcellence.

Here are the new signs that you will see when you come to Morgantown High School Athletic events. Take the time to read them as we have some new ones for this school year.

Homecoming will be October 10th in the Gym from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM.

All tickets need to be purchased through the students Giveback account. Tickets are $20 each and there is a service charge. NO tickets will be sold at the door.

Guest forms (for students who do not attend MHS, can be picked up in room 116 during flex and are due back on Friday, October 2nd.

There is NO reentry, once you leave you cannot come back in.
